Metro: Exodus

We are using the latest version of Metro: Exodus.  For our testing we are using the built-in benchmark.  We are utilizing “Extreme” game settings and HairWorks and PhysX turned on.  We are running this game in DX12.

The results are a lot closer in this game, as it is very demanding.  It’s clear though that the GeForce RTX 2080 FE and overclocked ASUS card are faster than the default ASUS RTX 2070 SUPER performance.  Once again overclocking the ASUS RTX 2070 SUPER O8G GAMING edges out performance over the RTX 2080 FE, but more narrowly here.  It’s pretty much the same performance.

Turning on “High” NVIDIA Ray Tracing hurts performance a lot, but the same pattern still holds true.  Despite the RTX 2080 FE having more RT and Tensor Cores, overclocking the RTX 2070 SUPER can make up enough performance to push beyond it.
