Sony Interactive Entertainment President and CEO Jim Ryan has confirmed the name and launch date for its next-generation console. It’ll be called the PlayStation 5 (surprised?) and release “in time for Holiday 2020.”

Ryan teased that the PS5’s new controller would grant new levels of immersion thanks to haptic feedback, which replaces the Dual Shock’s tried-and-true “rumble” technology. The controller will also feature adaptive triggers, which allows for a range of tactile sensations.

While there’s much more to share about PlayStation 5 in the year ahead, we have plenty of blockbuster experiences coming your way on PS4, including Death Stranding, The Last of Us Part II, and Ghost of Tsushima. I’d like to thank all PlayStation fans for continuing the journey with us, as we embark on the future of games.
