Netflix has uploaded a final look at its upcoming show based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s best-selling fantasy novels (and CD PROJEKT RED’s game trilogy). There isn’t much in the way of monster hunting, but The Witcher’s last trailer offers a good glimpse at the action surrounding franchise staples Ciri, Yennefer, and Geralt. Henry Cavill, who plays the latter, will evidently reprise the White Wolf’s infamous hot tub scene from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Henry Cavill (formerly known as Superman) stars as Geralt, with Freya Allan (The War of the Worlds, Bluebird) as Ciri, and Anya Chalotra (Wanderlust, The ABC Murders) as Yennefer. The first costume test images of Henry Cavill in a long, sleek silver wig were met with raised eyebrows, but since the first actual image reveal and the first trailer debuted, there is no doubt that Cavill is striding confidently into the role of Geralt.
