After data-mining Infinity Ward’s latest patch for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone, redditor Senescallo discovered multiple pieces of artwork for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered. While the game isn’t much of a secret – it was initially rated for the PS4 in February 2019, and in South Korea just last week – the finding does suggest that its release is imminent.

It isn’t clear whether Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered will be available as a standalone title (2016’s Modern Warfare remaster was initially tied to Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare), but it can be obtained as part of a “Ghost Pack: Oil Rig Bundle.” Buying it individually (via Modern Warfare) will also grant an “Underwater Demo Team Classic Ghost Bundle.”

Rumors of a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 remaster began swirling way back in 2018 when a listing popped up on Amazon Italy. Charlie Intel’s sources later revealed that the game would be campaign only, without a multiplayer mode.
