Square Enix has revealed that it’s working on a remaster of NieR Replicant, the prequel to 2017’s critically acclaimed action RPG NieR: Automata as part of the franchise’s 10th anniversary celebration, which kicks off in about a month (the original NieR was released almost exactly a decade ago on April 22, 2010). More details are forthcoming, but we do know that NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… (yes, that’s the official title) will be released on Steam, PlayStation 4, and the Xbox One.

The NieR franchise is also expanding with a mobile game called NieR Reincarnation for Android and iOS. The teaser trailer doesn’t reveal anything in terms of gameplay, but the title will be free to play – which implies some degree of microtransactions.

In related news, Microsoft and Square Enix announced that NieR: Automata would be coming to Xbox Game Pass on April 2nd. This is the BECOME AS GODS Edition, which includes additional content such as the “Revealing Outfit” costume for 2B, “Young Man’s Outfit” costume for 9S, and “Destroyer Outfit” costume for A2.
