He may be getting older, but one of Hollywood’s last true superstars continues to dial it up when it comes to dangerous stunts and demanding shooting environments. According to Deadline’s Mike Fleming Jr., Tom Cruise wants to shoot an action-adventure movie in space, and he’s tapped SpaceX, Elon Musk’s private aerospace company, to make it happen.

“I’m hearing that Tom Cruise and Elon Musk’s Space X are working on a project with NASA that would be the first narrative feature film – an action adventure – to be shot in outer space,” wrote Fleming Jr. “It’s not a Mission: Impossible film and no studio is in the mix at this stage but look for more news as I get it. But this is real, albeit in the early stages of liftoff.”

Will Tom be crazy enough to ride on the outside of a Dragon crew capsule? Probably, judging by the insane stunts that he’s pulled in his recent Mission: Impossible movies, which have seen the actor flying helicopters at dangerous altitudes, climbing the Burj Khalifa (the world’s tallest building), and hanging on for dear life on the outside of cargo planes.
