In PCMark 10’s Full System Drive Benchmark, the TEAMGROUP MP34 512GB PCIe 3.0 NVMe SSD performs on top compared to the competition SSDs we have reviewed so far.  We have some tough competition pitted against the TEAMGROUP MP34 with the likes of the SAMSUNG 970 EVO and ADATA XPG SX8100NP SSDs.  However, the TEAMGROUP MP34 SSD seems to perform the best overall according to PCMark 10 Storage Test.  At 1744 it is 9% higher than the SAMSUNG 970 EVO 1TB PCIe 3.0 NVMe SSD.  Compared to the XPG SX8100NP it is a much larger 23% higher in the overall score.  PCMark 10 takes into account a myriad of real-world workloads, and also bandwidth and latency.

TEAMGROUP MP34 512GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD Review PCMark 10 Average Access Time Graph

Speaking of latency, this Average Access Time graph from PCMark 10’s results show why it is partly scoring so high.  The TEAMGROUP MP34 512GB PCIe 3.0 NVMe SSD has the lowest latency in these tests at 98 microseconds.  That’s actually a 10% difference in latency, and it beats the SAMSUNG 970 EVO which isn’t an easy thing to do!  Compared to the XPG SX8100NP the latency is a 23% difference.

Anvil Storage Utilities

In Anvil’s Storage Utilities SSD test, we also find that the TEAMGROUP MP34 achieves the highest score compared to the other two NVMe SSDs.  It scores 15321 which is 3% higher than the SAMSUNG 970 EVO.  Compared to the ADATA XPG SX8100NP the result is a lot higher, at 40% higher.  If we compare the Read and Write tests with the SAMSUNG 970 EVO we find that the read score is higher on the TEAMGROUP MP34 SSD, while the write score is higher on the SAMSUNG 970 EVO.  When we compare the results to the ADATA XPG SX8100NP both the read and write scores are higher on the TEAMGROUP MP34 SSD.

MiniTool Partition Wizard Disk Benchmark

You can see all of the Partition Wizard SSD benchmarks above for the TEAMGROUP MP34 SSD.  You can compare the results with the SAMSUNG 970 EVO and XPG SX8100NP here.  You will find that 32KB Random Reading is higher than the SAMSUNG 970 EVO and Random Writing is higher than the XPG SX8100NP and on par with the SAMSUNG 970 EVO.  Sequential Reading is also a lot higher on the TEAMGROUP MP34 compared to the other two NVMe SSDs.  Sequential Writing is faster than the XPG SX8100NP but below the SAMSUNG 970 EVO.

At 4KB Random Reading is slightly below the two other SSDs, but Random Writing is faster than the XPG SX8100NP and just below the SAMSUNG 970 EVO.  Sequential Reading is faster than the XPG SX8100NP but slower than the SAMSUNG 970 EVO.  Sequential Writing is also faster than the XPG SX8100NP but just under the SAMSUNG 970 EVO.
