PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan previously noted that the PS5 would be able to play “99 percent” of the PS4’s library, which got Sony fans wondering which games wouldn’t be backward compatible. A support document published today has confirmed what those titles are.

  • DWVR
  • Afro Samurai 2 Revenge of Kuma Volume One
  • TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2
  • Just Deal With It!
  • Shadow Complex Remastered
  • Robinson: The Journey
  • We Sing
  • Hitman Go: Definitive Edition
  • Shadwen
  • Joe’s Diner

These games will only be playable on the PS4. It isn’t clear why the PS5 can’t play these or whether they’ll be supported after a future OS update, but the good news is that none of these seem to be major titles (apologies to the Joe’s Diner fans out there, but at least it wasn’t something like God of War).

The support document points out that there are over 4,000 PS4 games playable on the PS5, all of which will benefit from the PS5’s Game Boost feature. This feature enhances backward compatible titles with higher and/or smoother frame rates.

Sony warns that certain PS4 games may exhibit “errors or unexpected behaviors” when played on the PS5, however.
