Gaming Benchmarks

3DMark 10

While not a game exactly, 3DMark 10 is a benchmark that shows how close a given system is to another of either similar or varied hardware. Here we see the NZXT N7 Z490 drop below the 9900K, although these are very high numbers. Therefore, the percentage difference is actually fairly small.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

There is no way around it, the NZXT N7 Z490 scores a little on the low side. I’m not sure why this is the case, as this was repeatable in our testing.

Moving onto the 4K testing, the NZXT N7 Z490 fell well short of its Z490 brethren coming in dead last in each test. We may have to investigate this further in the future and whatever is going on, I believe it’s isolated to our specific test setup.

Hitman 2

Hitman proved to be quite a bit different than SoTTR in that the NZXT N7 Z490 scored in the same ranges as the other 10900K test systems, although at stock, the result did fall short on the minimums for whatever reason.

At 4K where we are primarily GPU limited, the NZXT N7 Z490 scores in line with everything else. Overclocking didn’t help with averages or minimum frame rates but did increase the maximum FPS by a small margin of 7FPS.
