Corsair has announced that it has acquired Visuals by Impulse (VBI), a company that sells overlays, alerts, and widgets for streamers on YouTube, Facebook Gaming, and Twitch so they can better grow their audience. The computer peripheral and hardware giant revealed the news in a press release published today, which noted that VBI would be joining its Elgato brand of products. Elgato comprises various game streaming equipment, such as 4K capture cards, microphone mounts, green screens, and Stream Decks.

“With the addition of Visuals by Impulse to the Elgato family, we’re excited to extend our core mission of empowering content creators,” said Julian Fest, SVP and General Manager at Elgato. “Design is a crucial element shaping a creator’s identity, and VBI has been at the forefront of making beautiful and interactive design accessible to anyone. Together with the talented team at VBI, we plan to push the boundaries of what design can mean for creators.”

“We’re delighted to join and work alongside the Elgato family, a brand that has become synonymous with giving creators the tools they need to truly shine,” said Caleb Leigh, Founder and General Manager of Visuals by Impulse. “Elgato’s attention to detail with products, marketing, and the role of design matches our own and makes us ideal partners. We’re excited to bring new innovations to creators across the globe, especially exploring the potential of matching Elgato’s platforms, such as Stream Deck, with VBI’s design capabilities.”

Visuals by Impulse marks Corsair’s third acquisition over the past few months. In November, Corsair acquired Gamer Sensei, the world’s biggest esports coaching platform for connecting gamers of all skill levels. EpocCam, a smartphone app that easily allows iPhone or iPad users to turn their iOS devices into a wireless high definition webcam, was acquired by the company in October.
