Universal Studios has released a new trailer for the latest installment of its long-running vehicular action franchise, Fast and the Furious. F9, as the ninth chapter is succinctly called, will reunite Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his surviving racing crew in a new global adventure against his younger, villainous brother, Jakob Toretto (John Cena). While the previous Fast and Furious films have already had some wild action sequences involving tanks and submarines, F9 seems to poised to eclipse them with what appears to be a long, destructive chase sequence involving cars outfitted with super magnets. The film is scheduled for release on June 25.

F9 sees the return of Justin Lin as director, who helmed the third, fourth, fifth and sixth chapters of the series when it transformed into a global blockbuster. The action hurtles around the globe—from London to Tokyo, from Central America to Edinburgh, and from a secret bunker in Azerbaijan to the teeming streets of Tbilisi. Along the way, old friends will be resurrected, old foes will return, history will be rewritten, and the true meaning of family will be tested like never before.
