Ubisoft has announced Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland, a free-to-play game set in the same universe as Massive Entertainment’s hit online multiplayer action role-playing franchise, The Division. While there isn’t much in the way of screenshots or trailers yet, Ubisoft did confirm that the game is currently in development at Red Storm Entertainment—the same studio responsible for the original Rainbow Six (1998) and Ghost Recon (2001) titles. Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland may not be released on PC, consoles, and cloud platforms until next year, but interested agents can sign up for an early test phase here.

Heartland isn’t the only new game in development. The Division will also be coming to mobile platforms for the very first time, bringing the universe to an even wider audience. We’ll have more details on this exciting project at a later date.
