Test Setup

Drivers
Note that for testing Resident Evil Village AMD provided us an early driver that is optimized for this game. That driver version is Adrenalin 21.10.01.17 which is what we used in this review. It was the latest driver AMD recommended for this game. Since then, AMD has released this driver on its webpage and it is Adrenalin 21.5.1 Optional. Use this driver for Resident Evil Village.
For NVIDIA we are using GeForce 466.27 which is a Game Ready driver for Resident Evil Village, and the latest driver available.
Video Cards
This is mostly a feature comparison performance review of this game. This is not meant as a comprehensive video comparison. As such, we are solely using an AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT and GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition video card today. Most of the performance is to look at the AMD FidelityFX features and how much they impact performance on the AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT.
