During today’s Summer Game Fest event, Hideo Kojima revealed that his critically acclaimed sci-fi action game, Death Stranding, would be coming to the PlayStation 5 in the form of a new Director’s Cut. While Kojima Productions won’t be sharing specific details about Death Stranding: Director’s Cut until a later date, a teaser trailer suggests that the PS5 version will line up much better with the PC release, which debuted in July 14, 2020 with significantly greater visuals. Features exclusive to that port (e.g., higher frame rate, photo mode) will presumably be included in Death Stranding: Director’s Cut.

From legendary game creator Hideo Kojima comes a genre-defying experience, now expanded and remastered for the PlayStation 5 console in this definitive Director’s Cut. More info coming soon.
