Conclusion

ASRock X570 PG Velocita logo

The ASRock X570 PG Velocita was an excellent motherboard overall. There is nothing especially innovative or groundbreaking here. At this price point, that’s to be expected. ASRock made some good decisions with the integrated features. The Killer Network solutions are less expensive than their Intel counterparts and did a good job. While I’m not overly impressed with the wired solution, it works well enough for most people. The wireless solution is in my experience better than Intel’s in the performance department even if it’s slightly quirky at times.

The Realtek ALC1220 audio is bog-standard for the segment, but even that was competently executed. It’s not going to please the most ardent audiophiles, but it’s one area where a motherboard manufacturer can cut costs effectively without compromising performance. The layout and aesthetics were solid and I have no significant complaints.

The VRM heatsinks are good, although not anything special. The VRM design is again, pretty basic but good enough. I’ve seen more anemic designs and implementations and frankly, some are overbuilt and as a result, they do cost more. You really can’t expect a lot more for the price, although there are a handful of options out there that are slightly better in this regard. Even so, the performance of the ASRock X570 PG Velocita with the 5900X speaks for itself, and the VRM was more than capable of handling it. I have no doubt that it can power a 5950X without issue either.

Final Points

The ASRock X570 PG Velocita works well and is right up there with some of the best-performing motherboards based on the X570 chipset. You get a motherboard with a solid layout, good WiFi, and 2.5GbE LAN. The UEFI BIOS is nice as well. The board offers a solid feature set for enthusiasts and won’t break the bank. It has been new $264 at Amazon recently, and $264 at Newegg. These are great prices for this motherboard considering what it offers. At the end of the day, I can recommend the ASRock X570 PG Velocita. If you are a die-hard ASRock fan it’s a no-brainer.
