Memory Bandwidth

AIDA64

This program has many tools for determining memory bandwidth as well as various latency values.

Memory Read

In this test we see the 5900X achieve a result of 70,251MB/s. At DDR4 3733MHz, this is not unexpected. There is also a huge improvement over what we normally see with a 3900X at DDR4 3200MHz speeds as well.

Memory Write

It’s pretty much the same story here at DDR4 3733MHz. However, at DDR4 3200MHz, we only get a result of 47,071MB/s. This is quite a bit lower than what we saw with the ASUS TUF X570 Gaming Plus.

Memory Copy

In this test, we again see good gains over other similar systems in the same class. Overclocking the memory speeds does have a substantial impact on the results. At stock speeds, the ASUS and ASRock boards achieve nearly identical results.

Sandra Memory Bandwidth

In the Sandra memory bandwidth test, most of the systems achieve similar results regardless of memory clock speeds. Even overclocking to DDR4 3733MHz doesn’t have a huge impact on the performance numbers.
