CD PROJEKT RED and Netflix have announced details for WitcherCon. The digital event will be broadcast on YouTube and Twitch. The first stream will happen on July 9 at 10 a.m. PT and repeat at 6 p.m. PT. There won’t be news about a new Witcher game at the event, but odds are probable that there will be more details for season 2 of the streaming series, as a teaser trailer was recently released.

Billed as a celebration of The Witcher universe and its community, the event promises “exciting news, reveals… and a few surprises.” While a full schedule will be revealed “soon”, it will include deep dives into the making of the games and the Netflix show, plus interactive panels with stars like Henry Cavill and the game’s developers.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
