MSI has launched its first solid state drive products. Branded “SPATIUM,” the initial lineup comprises the M480, M470, and M370, all of which are NVMe SSDs leveraging the compact M.2 2280 form factor. MSI’s PCIe Gen 4 SPATIUM M480 serves as the halo product, offering sequential read and write speeds of up to 7,000 MB/s and 6,850 MB/s, respectively, followed by the mainstream M470, which offers slower 5,000 MB/sec sequential read and 4,400 MB/sec sequential write speeds. The M370, MSI’s entry-level PCIe Gen 3 option, delivers 2,400 MB/s sequential read and 1,850 MB/s sequential write speeds. MSI’s M480, M470, and M370 SPATIUM SSDs are available in capacities of up to 2 TB.
