Sony has provided details on its next State of Play broadcast, a series of livestream presentations that the company occasionally runs to provide news on exciting PlayStation developments. Airing on Thursday, July 8 at 5:00 p.m. ET, the next State of Play will feature a nine-minute look at Arkane Studios’ upcoming action-adventure game, Deathloop, which is exclusive to PlayStation consoles and Windows PCs. Sony’s upcoming State of Play broadcast will also include a look at some indie and third-party titles, but PlayStation fans can forget about seeing anything related to Santa Monica Studio’s God of War sequel and Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Forbidden West—neither will be present at the event in any shape or form. Updates regarding Sony’s next-generation PS VR headset aren’t expected, either, but the company has promised that it will share more information soon.

In this extended [Deathloop] gameplay sequence, we’ll see Colt use his abilities to stealthily skulk across rooftops… or go in guns blazing to create a whole lot of mayhem. Lots of options available on Blackreef Island. […] This showcase will not include updates on the next God of War, Horizon Forbidden West or the next generation of PlayStation VR. Stay tuned throughout the summer though, as we’ll have more updates soon.
