After an extended hiatus due to poor performance and other controversies, Sony allowed CD PROJEKT RED to bring its sci-fi RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, back to the PlayStation Store on June 21. What made the return of Cyberpunk 2077 on the PlayStation Store particularly interesting was that Sony published a warning advising gamers not to play the game on PS4 consoles and to enjoy it on PS4 Pro and PS5 systems instead, but that hasn’t stopped PS4 users from tolerating whatever bugs and faults are still left in that version of the game. According to a blog post revealing the PlayStation Store’s top downloads for June 2021, Cyberpunk 2077 still managed to be the number one download for both US/Canada and European regions, beating out other hits such as Grand Theft Auto V and FIFA 21. CD PROJEKT RED president and joint CEO Adam KiciÅ„ski recently suggested that the game was already at a “satisfactory level” in terms of stability, but the company has promised that additional patches are on the way that will not only address bugs and glitches but introduce some improvements to the game’s general systems.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now available at PlayStation Store. Work on the PS4 version continues, with fixes and updates to be released throughout the year: https://t.co/XWCfOEQrLS For the best experience on PlayStation, playing on PS4 Pro or PS5 consoles is recommended.
