Tango Gameworks, the developer behind The Evil Within franchise, is currently developing a new action-adventure game called Ghostwire: Tokyo that will be launched exclusively for the PlayStation 5 and Windows platforms. According to a tweet published on the developer’s official Twitter account today, Ghostwire: Tokyo has been delayed to early 2022 to ensure the health of Tango Gameworks’ employees. Tango Gameworks is headed by Shinji Mikami, the creator of Capcom’s hit survival horror series, Resident Evil. Xbox head Phil Spencer has confirmed that Ghostwire: Tokyo will arrive on Xbox consoles after its year-long exclusivity period on PS5 ends.

We want to get the game in your hands as soon as possible so you can experience the unforgettable version of a haunted Tokyo that we’ve been hard at work building. At the same time, we’re also focused on protecting the health of everyone at Tango. Our new release window will give us time to bring the world of Ghostwire to life as we’ve always envisioned it.
