Throughput Benchmarks (SEQ and RND)

CrystalDiskMark

We are using CrystalDiskMark to benchmark sequential and random throughput of read and write performance. For these NVMe SSDs we are using the NVMe profile in CrystalDiskMark. This tests SEQ1M Q8T1, SEQ128K Q32T1, RND4K Q32T16, and RND4K Q1T1.

The CORSAIR Force MP600 1TB SSD is rated at a sequential read speed of 4950MB/s. We are actually getting 4988MB/s for sequential read performance, which is even faster than the rated throughput. This is exceptional and shows how fast this drive can be. It’s actually exceeding the rated speed. In terms of write performance, it is rated at 4250MB/s. In our benchmark here it is once again running even faster, at 4428MB/s for sequential write performance. These benchmark results are incredible and exceed expectations. The read speed is also just as fast as the Sabrent Rocket 500GB on this particular workload, but the Sabrent Rocket falls tragically behind on write performance.

We also see great performance on sequential 128K Q32T1 testing, both the read and write speeds of the CORSAIR Force MP600 1TB are once again exceeding expectations. The Sabrent Rocket 500GB keeps up on read, but falls way behind on write.

Random performance falls behind sequential performance, as expected. It’s still very strong for random performance compared to the competition here. The read performance is 2858MB/s and write performance is higher than the read at 3258MB/s on the CORSAIR MP600 SSD. These results greatly beat the Sabrent Rocket 500GB SSD.

Random 4K Q1T1 is pretty rough, and it’s very close with the Sabrent Rocket 500GB. The CORSAIR MP600 SSD pulls 59MB/s on read and 211MB/s on write, which is faster on write performance with Sabrent Rocket, but just a tad slower on read compared to the Sabrent Rocket 500GB, but still very close.
