AMC Theaters CEO Adam Aron has confirmed that filmgoers can now pay for their movie tickets online with various forms of cryptocurrency. These options comprise Bitcoin, Ether, Bitcoin Cash, and Litecoin. Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal have also been added as payment options.

From Aron:

Big newsflash! As promised, many new ways NOW to pay online at AMC. We proudly now accept: drumroll, please… Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin. Also Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal. Incredibly, they already account for 14% of our total online transactions! Dogecoin next.

AMC Theaters faced bankruptcy last year but managed to pull through thanks in part to social media users fueling it as a meme stock. Aron told investors in an earnings call this month that the chain was looking into creating its own cryptocurrency.
