Fans of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Patrick Stewart’s Professor X may be in for a treat. Rumors say the two will reprise their iconic characters in Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness. Marvel is reportedly not undoing the events of Logan but depicting alternate versions of the characters from another universe.

There are some facts to support this possibility. The movie has had lots of reshoots and received some delays. Patrick Stewart had spoken with Kevin Feige and declined to return, but he may now be on board for this plot twist. Hugh Jackman has reportedly been contacted, and the two could be featured in a brief cameo.

Professor X is a variant in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

In other words, Logan is untouched.

Those versions of Stewart’s Professor X and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine remain buried.

Forever.

With Stewart on board, thus Hugh Jackman apparently said yes.

On the other hand, their roles won’t eat much screen time.

Well, that was before the reshoots.

From multiverse stories such as Disney+’s What If? to Spider-Man: No Way Home, the company is clearly planning major cameos in multiple projects. Many seem to revolve around Sony or 20th Century Studios (formerly 20th Century Fox) characters. The MCU has gained access to many characters following Disney’s acquisition of Fox, while contract negotiations with Sony also have allowed new possibilities. Add all of this together, and the two actors returning seems like a probability.

Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
