Resident Evil fans have developed a VR mod for RE Engine games such as Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 7. The mod features motion controls. Something of note is the attention given to the player’s hands and the interaction with weapons and other items. It is currently in beta, but the final version is expected by the end of the year.

The project is from modders Residence Of Evil, Praydog, and Cursey. There are also early test videos of the VR mod being used in Resident Evil 3.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
