Marvel Studios has released the first official teaser for its latest sequel starring the Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Directed by Sam Raimi, the brilliant filmmaker behind Evil Dead and Sony Pictures’ original Spider-Man trilogy, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness sees the return of actor Benedict Cumberbatch in the titular role as part of a new story arc exploring the unlimited possibilities of a multiverse. The trailer confirms the return of Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor), both of which have fancy new costumes, as well as what appears to be an evil version of Doctor Strange.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be released exclusively in theaters on May 6, 2022. Marvel Studios has also shared the first official poster for the film, which can be seen below.

  1. I’m glad Doctor Strange appeared in other MCU stuff, but he was long overdue for a second movie. It will be interesting having Wanda up in there too.

    I think….

While there are many characters which are deserving of more screen time, on the whole, I’m more than tired of the MCU. It makes it really hard to get excited when a deserving character gets some attention.

  3. Meh. I suffer from acute hyper-oversuperheroism. Except for maybe the next Guardians of the Galaxy, I just don’t think I care anymore.
