Cinebench R23

In the popular Cinebench R23 benchmark we find the new Intel Core i7-12700K to smash the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X in performance. It’s a whopping 47% faster than the 5800X. This is a very significant amount.

The Intel i7-12700K also holds up in single-threaded performance. It’s not just a multi-threaded workhorse, it is faster in single-core performance as well. Here it is 20% faster than the i7-12700K, that is a difference worth noting, it is very significant.

Blender Open Data Benchmark

Here is a real-world result of the fastest Intel Core i7-12700K CPU versus the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X CPU, a much reduced time rendering in Blender. We go from 6 minutes and 46 seconds render time on the 5800X to 4 minutes and 56 seconds on the 12700K, an improvement of 29% off the time.

Another smashing result in V-Ray 5 Benchmark as well, the Intel Core i7-12700K is 33% faster than the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X here producing a higher vsample rate.

Here is another real-world example of how the Intel Core i7-12700K saves time. It has reduced the encode time of this video from 10 minutes and 11 seconds on the 5800X down to just 7 minutes on the 12700K. That’s an improvement of 31% off the time to render. Imagine if you had a very long video to transcode or multiple videos, this would really save you time as it adds up.
