Intel Core i7-12700K vs AMD Ryzen 7 5800X SiSoftware Sandra 2021 Dhrystone Aggregated-int Native Multi-Threaded/Core MT+MC performance graph

We are now testing in the popular SiSoftware Sandra 2021 version.  We are testing the CPU arithmetic section.  In this graph above we are looking at Dhrystone integer performance in multi-threading. Just like the benchmarks on the previous page, we also find that Integer performance in multi-threaded workloads is a lot faster on the new 12700K. It’s 25% faster than the Ryzen 7 5800X, which is significant.

The same is true in Whetstone, floating-point workloads, the Intel Core i7-12700K is 34% faster than the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X. It seems it’s even better in floating-point than integer, but these are not small differences, but rather large performance differences.

We know the i7-12700K is much faster in multi-threaded workloads, it can work on more threads, but it also proves itself when it comes to single-threaded workloads. Here in integer performance, it is 15% faster than the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, another significant difference.

It’s only in floating-point single-threaded performance that both CPUs are nearer each other.
