Pixar fans will be able to enjoy the renowned animation studio’s next project in the comfort of their homes when it releases this winter.

As confirmed in a press release shared by Disney today, Pixar’s Turning Red will skip theaters and premiere exclusively on the Disney+ streaming service on March 11. Turning Red centers around a 13-year-old girl who turns into a giant red panda whenever she gets too excited, according to a synopsis and official trailer shared by Disney.

“Disney+ subscribers around the world enthusiastically embraced Pixar’s Academy Award-winning ‘Soul’ and the critically-acclaimed ‘Luca’ when they premiered exclusively on the service and we look forward to bringing them Pixar’s next incredible feature film ‘Turning Red’,” said Kareem Daniel, Chairman, Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution.

“Given the delayed box office recovery, particularly for family films, flexibility remains at the core of our distribution decisions as we prioritize delivering the unparalleled content of The Walt Disney Company to audiences around the world.”

Turning Red will still be released theatrically in international markets that don’t have access to Disney+, which costs $7.99 for a monthly subscription. Pixar’s next film is Lightyear, a movie centered around the astronaut that inspired the classic Toy Story character.
