505 Games and Kojima Productions have confirmed that the director’s cut of Death Stranding will be available for purchase on Steam and the Epic Games Store beginning on March 30.

Described as the “definitive” version of Hideo Kojima’s epic starring The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus, Death Stranding Director’s Cut features a number of upgrades over the original PC release, such as support for Intel’s Xe Super Sampling (Xess) technology. Players can also expect new and expanded content, per the game’s subtitle.

Death Stranding Director’s Cut will launch for $39.99, but Kojima fans who already own the original version of the game will have the option of upgrading to the newer version for just $9.99. This offer is available for both the Steam and Epic Games Store versions of Death Stranding.

“To receive the upgrade for DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR’S CUT you must have the DEATH STRANDING base game already installed on your PC,” 505 Games clarified. “At launch, when you go through to purchase the game from the PC storefront, you will be presented with the upgrade price. If you do not have the DEATH STRANDING base game installed, then you will be presented with the full price.”
