How good would Capcom’s modern Resident Evil remakes and the seventh installment look on next-gen console hardware?

Owners will be able to get a clear answer to that question later this year, as Capcom has announced that it will be releasing updated versions of RE2, RE3, and RE7 with visual enhancements for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles in 2022. Release dates are yet to come, but players who already own the PS4 and Xbox One versions of these games will be able to get a digital upgrade at no additional cost.

Capcom also revealed that it is prepping upgrade patches for the PC versions of RE2, RE3, and RE7, which seems to confirm that the visual enhancements are completely new and haven’t yet been featured in any of the current versions.
