SiSoftware Sandra
In SiSoftware Sandra 2021’s Dhrystone integer multi-threaded testing, which is heavily affected by multi-cores, the Ryzen 7 5700G is 42% faster in integer performance. The extra core/threads are helping a lot here and shows the potential it can make in heavily multi-threaded arithmetic workloads. The 5600G is 30% slower than the 5700G.
In SiSoftware Sandra, it is showing a 47% single-threaded advantage toward the 5700G over the 5600G when doing pure integer arithmetic workloads.
Cinebench R23
When rendering in Cinebench R23 the Ryzen 7 5700G is 24% faster than the Ryzen 5 5600G, showing the difference the extra cores/threads make when rendering. The 5600G is 20% slower than the 5700G.
The difference is less pronounced doing single-core rendering where the 5700G is only 4% faster than the 5600G.
V-Ray 5 Benchmark
In V-Ray rendering, the Ryzen 7 5700G is 29% faster than the Ryzen 5 5600G.
HandBrake
In HandBrake the Ryzen 7 5700G is faster than the 5600G for video transcoding and encoding, thanks to the additional cores and threads. The Ryzen 7 5700G is 15% faster than the Ryzen 5 5600G and saves two minutes off the time to render, so if video encoding is something you do a lot of the 5700G will be the better option.
