Far Cry 6
In Far Cry 6, there is a performance advantage toward the 5700G at 1080p by 4%. The difference narrows at 1440p and we are GPU bound at 4K.
Watch Dogs Legion
In Watch Dogs Legion we actually experienced a pretty large difference between both CPUs at 1080p and even 1440p. At 1080p the Ryzen 7 5700G was 10% faster than the Ryzen 5 5600G, so that can be significant and lead to better higher minimum framerates for the 5700G in Watch Dogs Legion at 1080p. At 1440p it narrows, but the 5700G is still 6% faster. Only at 4K do we become more GPU limited.
Crysis Remastered
In Crysis Remastered the Ryzen 7 5700G is 3% faster at 1080p but ends up the same at 1440p and 4K between them.

Join Discussion →How quickly things change. Even though I agree with the article conclusion, the soon to be released Ryzen 5 5600 would seem to be the best option for gaming while saving a few bucks.
If you consider that you are building a system, and want to save money by not buying a dedicated GPU, the G makes a lot of sense.
And that's why I said "Gaming"
Kinda surprised to see them tracking so close to each other.
Gaming wise, not much of a surprise, but even in applications they were much closer than I expected.
This is like deja vu of all the same 5600g v 5700g reviews from last year from other review sites I read and chose the 5600g in mine. Strange so many sites are reviewing these chips again.
