Gaming Performance

In order to test gaming performance, we decided to test 1080p, 1440p, and 4K resolutions. For testing, we are using an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Founders Edition video card.

Cyberpunk 2077

AMD Ryzen 7 5700G vs AMD Ryzen 5 5600G CPU Performance Comparison Cyberpunk 2077 graph

In Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p the two CPUs are close to performance with each other, only a variable of half a percent difference, which is within the margin of error for a manual run-through that we perform in this game. The result is the same performance at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K between both CPUs for this game.

Battlefield 2042

In Battlefield 2042 at 1080p, there is a larger variance, about a 4% difference between the 5700G and 5600G where the 5600G is slightly faster. It is a minor difference, and we do perform a manual run-through in this game. At 1440p and 4K, the performance is the same between the CPUs.

Forza Horizon 5

AMD Ryzen 7 5700G vs AMD Ryzen 5 5600G CPU Performance Comparison Forza Horizon 5 graph

In Forza Horizon 5 we use the built-in benchmark, and it does show that there is a 3% performance advantage toward the 5700G at 1080p. Even a slight difference at 1440p, but not huge, and 4K is within 1 FPS of each other.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020

In MS Flight Sim at 1080p, there is also a slight 4% difference between the CPUs at 1080p, but this resolution is bottlenecked on both CPUs because we actually gain FPS at 1440p on both. At 1440p they are within 3% of each other. At 4K we are GPU bound.
