The Epic Games Store has revealed its first mystery freebie for the month of May, and it’s a significant one. Beginning today, PC gamers can grab a copy of the third mainline installment of Gearbox Software’s hit cel-shaded shooter-looter franchise, Borderlands 3, at no cost. Borderlands 3 is a relatively recent title that only released in September 2019 and still carries the usual MSRP of $59.99. The game is also on sale for $14.99 for gamers who’d prefer to get the Steam version and reap the platform’s usual benefits, such as Steam Achievements. Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot, Guns, Love and Tentacles: The Marriage of Wainwright & Hammerlock, and Bounty of Blood are just a few of the DLC content packs that Borderlands 3 has received since its release in 2019 for fans who’d like to extend the experience of Gearbox’s base game. Borderlands 3 is available to claim on the Epic Games Store for free until 5/26 at 11:00 a.m. (EST).
