CD PROJEKT RED has shared a tweet confirming that the next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X will be released in Q4 2022. Originally announced by the Polish developer in September 2020, this is an updated version of the critically acclaimed 2015 action RPG based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s fantasy novels that will feature a range of visual and technical improvements, including ray tracing and faster loading times, according to a post on the official Witcher site. The next-gen version of The Witcher 3 will be available as a standalone purchase, but fans who already own a copy of the game on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 are eligible to receive the update at no cost.
