Sony has revealed that it is working on a new TV series based on Guerrilla Games’ blockbuster Horizon titles (i.e., Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West) for Netflix. The company revealed the news during its annual investor briefing, according to Japanese tech and software analyst David Gibson, who echoed previous reports of a God of War series also being in development at Amazon. Additionally, Gibson shared that a new show based on Polyphony Digital’s beloved racing series, Gran Turismo, is in the works. Other projects that Sony are involved with include a Ghost of Tsushima movie, an HBO adaptation of The Last of Us, and a Twisted Metal series. The recent Uncharted movie starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg has also done well at the box office despite polarizing reviews.

Sony has previously announced a Ghost of Tsushima movie that will be written by Chad Stehelski. There’s also has a Twisted Metal series in development, with a cast that incudes Anthony Mackie, Neve Campbell, and Stephanie Beatriz, though the series does not have a release date yet.

The furthest along of all of Sony’s current projects is likely its HBO adaptation of the The Last of Us, which will star Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian) and Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones), and is being created by Craig Mazin (Chernobyl). The Last of Us TV series does not have a trailer or release date yet, but it’s expected to come out sometime in 2023.
