Power and Temperature

To test the power and temperature we perform a manual run-through in Cyberpunk 2077 at “Ultra” settings for real-world in-game data.  We use GPU-Z sensor data to record the results.  We report on the GPU-Z sensor data for “Board Power” and “GPU Chip Power” when available for our Wattage data.  For temperature data, we report the GPU (Edge Temp of the GPU or Package Temp) as well as Hot Spot (Junction Temperature) when available for our temperature data.

ASRock Radeon RX 6750 XT Phantom Gaming D Power Graph

Looking solely at the GPU Chip power, the ASRock Radeon RX 6750 XT Phantom Gaming D does run with the most power demand, compared to the RTX 3070 and RTX 3060 Ti. Overclocking the ASRock card didn’t seem to change the GPU Chip power, but we are sure the board power would be increased. The GPU Chip power of the ASRock RX 6750 XT Phantom Gaming D matches other Radeon RX 6750 XT GPU Chip power we have tested, so it is on par with other video cards of this caliber.

ASRock Radeon RX 6750 XT Phantom Gaming D Temperature Graph

Where the ASRock Radeon RX 6750 XT Phantom Gaming D really shines is in its thermal performance. The cooling solution ASRock employs is very robust and does the job phenomenally. It keeps the GPU temp around 63c and the Hot Spot at 90c. This is cooler than the RTX 3070 and RTX 3060 Ti. It is also cooler than the SAPPHIRE card we reviewed previously. We are impressed with the cooling.
