Power and Temperature

To test the power and temperature we perform a manual run-through in Cyberpunk 2077 at “Ultra” settings for real-world in-game data.  We use GPU-Z sensor data to record the results.  We report on the GPU-Z sensor data for “Board Power” and “GPU Chip Power” when available for our Wattage data.  For temperature data, we report the GPU (Edge Temp of the GPU) as well as Hot Spot (Junction Temperature) when available for our temperature data.

The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3050 Gaming OC 8G uses a relatively small amount of power at 107.3 Watts.

Obviously, when overclocked, the demand increases.  These findings are in keeping with the other 3050 GPUs that have been reviewed.

The GPU temperatures are not overly high and are very comparable to other GPUs reviewed.  The Overclocked GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3050 Gaming OC 8G was about 5 degrees Celsius cooler than the default card.  This was due to forcing the fans manually to run at 100% during overclocked testing.
