1080p Gaming Benchmarks
To start the gaming testing, we will run benchmarks at the 1080p resolution which makes the games selected very much CPU bound from a performance perspective (as we have an RTX 3090 as the test bench card today). This resolution should allow seeing what, if any, differences can be seen between the memory speeds when the CPU is the limiting factor on performance.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider

To start the gaming adventures with Shadow of the Tomb Raider at 1080p, we see the Skywalker Plus DDR4 64GB (2x32GB) 4000MHz Memory take first place at 208 FPS with the overclocked variation falling just below it. The DDR4-2666 base configuration lands 6.7% lower.
Horizon Zero Dawn

In Horizon Zero Dawn at 1080p, we see the Skywalker Plus DDR4 64GB (2x32GB) 4000MHz Memory and itself overclocked tie for the lead with the base DDR4-2666 configuration falling 4FPS behind.
Watch Dogs: Legion

In Watch Dogs: Legion at 1080p, the overclock finally takes the lead by 1 FPS over the stock-clocked Skywalker Plus DDR4 64GB (2x32GB) 4000MHz Memory. The base clocked DDR4-2666 lands 6.7% behind the leader.
Ghost Recon: Breakpoint

In Ghost Recon: Breakpoint at 1080p, we see the Skywalker Plus DDR4 64GB (2x32GB) 4000MHz Memory and its overclocked self duke it out with a 1 FPS difference. Like the other 1080p games, we see a 6.2% difference when dropping down to the base DDR4-2666 speeds.
4k Gaming Benchmarks
For our second round of gaming testing, we will put our pinkies out and we will run benchmarks at the 4K resolution which makes the games selected very much GPU bound from a performance perspective (as we have an RTX 3090 as the test bench card today). This resolution should allow seeing what, if any, differences can be seen between the memory speeds when the GPU is the limiting factor on performance.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider

In Shadow of the Tomb Raider at 4k, we have a tie ballgame at 92FPS across the board.
Horizon Zero Dawn

In Horizon Zero Dawn at 4k, we have a tie ballgame at 89FPS across the board.
Watch Dogs: Legion

In Watch Dogs Legion at 4k, we have a tie ballgame at 60FPS across the board.
Ghost Recon: Breakpoint

In Ghost Recon: Breakpoint at 4k, the game did not want the reviewer to copy and paste the same line from the last three charts, thus, the base clocked DDR4-2666 ended up 1FPS behind the stock clocked Skywalker Plus DDR4 64GB (2x32GB) 4000MHz Memory.
