Hulu and 20th Century Studios have shared the first official trailer for Hellraiser, a new live-action adaptation of Clive Barker’s classic 1986 horror novella, The Hellbound Heart. Available to stream on Hulu beginning October 7, the movie stars Jamie Clayton as Pinhead, the leader of the extra-dimensional, sadomasochistic Cenobites. Clayton replaces actor Doug Bradley, who is best known for portraying Pinhead in the original 1987 film, including many of its numerous sequels.

From 20th Century Studios:

In “Hellraiser,” a young woman struggling with addiction comes into possession of an ancient puzzle box, unaware that its purpose is to summon the Cenobites, a group of sadistic supernatural beings from another dimension.

A Hulu Original, in association with Spyglass Media Group, the film reunites Director David Bruckner, Screenwriters Ben Collins & Luke Piotrowski, Writer/Producer David S. Goyer and Producer Keith Levine, all of whom were teamed on 2020’s “The Night House,” along with Producers Clive Barker and Marc Toberoff and Executive Producers Gary Barber, Peter Oillataguerre and Todd Williams. Chris Stone serves as co-producer.

Hulu’s Hellraiser reboot is the 11th film in the franchise, following Hellraiser: Revelations and Hellraiser: Judgment, which released in March 2011 and February 2018, respectively. The original Hellraiser, which was directed and written by Barker, has grossed over $14 million worldwide since its release in 1987.
