Amy Adams has revealed that she is open to playing Lois Lane again following word from Henry Cavill that he’s still Superman and will appear as the iconic superhero in new films for Warner Bros., something that was initially teased by his cameo in Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam film, which premiered on October 21.
Adams, 48, expressed her interest in the role after a Variety reporter brought up Henry Cavill’s Superman return and asked her whether fans would see her back as his love interest, to which she clarified that no one had spoken to her about returning yet but that she’d be interested.
“They haven’t spoken to me about it,” Adams said. “If it’s me, great. If it’s somebody else, the role of Lois has been filled by so many wonderful actresses in the past, so I’ll support whatever direction they go.”
Adams went on to say that she was thrilled for Cavill being able to play Superman again, calling him “wonderful” in the role.
“I’m thrilled for [Cavill],” Adams said. “He’s such a wonderful Superman so I’m very excited for him.”
