Time will tell whether Star Wars Jedi: Survivor can measure up to the original in terms of gameplay and story, but something that players can definitely expect is vastly improved visuals. EA and Respawn Entertainment released a new official story trailer for the hotly anticipated game today, and it, similar to the official reveal trailer that was outed in December, can confirm that Jedi Knight Cal Kestis’ second adventure will be a gorgeous one, headlined by new locations and lightsaber fights that appear to put Disney and Lucasfilm’s own, recent works to shame. Developed for the latest generation of gaming hardware, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is scheduled to launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on April 28, 2023.

From an EA Star Wars description:

The dark times are closing in as Cal Kestis seeks out a safe haven far from the reach of the Empire. Follow Cal and his crew’s increasingly desperate fight as the galaxy descends further into darkness.

Picking up five years after the events of STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order, Jedi: Survivor is a third person, narrative-driven action-adventure game from Respawn Entertainment, developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC on April 28th, 2023.

From a Steam description:

The story of Cal Kestis continues in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, a third-person, galaxy-spanning, action-adventure game from Respawn Entertainment, developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. This narratively driven, single-player title picks up 5 years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and follows Cal’s increasingly desperate fight as the galaxy descends further into darkness. Pushed to the edges of the galaxy by the Empire, Cal will find himself surrounded by threats new and familiar. As one of the last surviving Jedi Knights, Cal is driven to make a stand during the galaxy’s darkest times — but how far is he willing to go to protect himself, his crew, and the legacy of the Jedi Order?
