Throughput Benchmarks (SEQ and RND)

CrystalDiskMark

We are using CrystalDiskMark to benchmark sequential and random throughput of read and write performance. For these NVMe SSDs we are using the NVMe profile in CrystalDiskMark. This tests SEQ1M Q8T1, SEQ128K Q32T1, RND4K Q32T16, and RND4K Q1T1.

The rated sequential read speed on the Netac NV7000 2TB SSD is up to 7000MB/s, and in our testing in SEQ1M Q8T1 we are getting well above that actually at 7476MB/s of read speed. That speed was repeatable and is actually achieving the capacity of the controller, which is great news. This SSD outperforms expectations on sequential read performance.

The write speed is rated at 6700MB/s, and we are hitting right at that quoted speed here at 6682MB/s. This puts it actually ahead of every SSD on this graph, faster than the Acer Predator GM7000 which had the fastest write speed tested here until now. The Netac NV7000 2TB SSD is really performing well in sequential read and write speeds in comparison to everything else.

In SEQ128K Q32T1 the Netac NV7000 2TB SSD is still performing very strongly in sequential read performance exceeding its quoted speed at 7455MB/s. This is right up there with the fastest SSDs. On the write speed, it comes in at 6685MB/s, again right where it should be and also up there with the fastest SSDs on write performance.

Netac NV7000 2TB PCIe Gen4 M.2 NVMe SSD CrystalDiskMark RND4K Q32T16

In RND4K Q32T16 performance we find very strong performance on the Netac NV7000 2TB SSD. It is hitting 4202MB/s on read performance, which is faster than every other SSD except the Acer Predator GM7000. On write performance, it is also near the top, just under the Lexar NM800 Pro.

Netac NV7000 2TB PCIe Gen4 M.2 NVMe SSD CrystalDiskMark RND4K Q1T1

In RND4K Q1T1 performance, the Netac NV7000 2TB SSD has a lower read performance, but the write performance is very strong at 238MB/s.

SUMMARY

We reviewed the Netac NV7000 2TB PCIe Gen4 M.2 NVMe SSD, with a fully integrated heatsink, this SSD performed well above expectations in sequential read performance. It held its own in write performance, and managed to have impressive random performance as well. It has all the appropriate features, including SSD management software. We were also excited to see a 4TB high-capacity model offered, with high-endurance. The 2TB model we reviewed has average endurance, but its price value manages to make this SSD appealing for its performance and features.
