Power and Temperature
To test the power and temperature we perform a manual run-through in Cyberpunk 2077 at “Ultra” settings for real-world in-game data. We used HWInfo64 sensor data to record the results. We report on the HWInfo64 sensor data for “Board Power” and “GPU Chip Power” when available for our Wattage data. For temperature data, we report the GPU (Edge Temp of the GPU) as well as the Hot Spot (Junction Temperature) when available for our temperature data. As has been discussed in Overclocking, HWINFO 64 was used for data collection.
Power
This graph shows that the power draw is considerably greater on the GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 GAMING OC. We see a difference of 50% in the default state and over 68% when overclocked.
Temperature
Despite the greater power load on the GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 GAMING OC, the heatsink/cooling does a good job of keeping the board and GPU chip cool. The difference is 65% cooler. The hot spots are nearly identical between the overclocked GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 GAMING OC and the default ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 4060 OC Edition. This is a testament to three fans are better than two. Unfortunately, it can’t translate into more FPS for our GIGABYTE card.
