Suicide Squad Insider is a new web series from Rocksteady Studios exploring its upcoming game that will begin streaming on YouTube on November 15. The first episode of Suicide Squad Insider is said to delve into the backstory and gameplay for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which after many delays, is set to arrive on February 2, 2024. The Batman: Arkham Series developers announced this new web series on social media with a twenty-second teaser trailer.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is set five years after the events of Batman: Arkham Knight and will also feature the last performance of Kevin Conroy, who passed last November, as The Dark Knight. The game has been plagued by numerous delays since its announcement in 2020. It has also recieved backlash over an online requirement, even for the single player campaign, and other game service elements (aka Battle Pass). Rocksteady has previously stated that the service elements are merely for cosmetic items and not a pay-to-win type mechanic for players to increase their character’s abilities. Instead, players can develop their characters using a traditional XP-based skill tree mechanic.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will have a post-launch cosmetics-only battle pass system to earn new outfits, emotes and other items to customize playable characters. Each battle pass will have free tiers available at no cost to all Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League players, along with premium tiers that will be available via an optional in-game purchase. All battle pass items will be cosmetic and will not affect gameplay in any way.”

The initial team for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will include Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark but it has been reported that post game support will add more characters and missions to the game. According to the announcment, Suicide Squad Insider will begin streaming on YouTube at 10 am PST / 6 pm GMT.
