Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is finally getting an official reveal today and there is already new speculation regarding its release. The last rumor about the DLC’s release happened right around the time of last year’s The Game Awards and involved host Geoff Keighley having gone to the developer’s main offices to assist in planning a February 5 reveal. As we now approach the game’s second anniversary Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have officially announced that a new 3-minute gameplay reveal trailer will debut today at 7 am PT / 3 pm GMT.

Here’s the official YouTube page where the reveal will happen.

Meanwhile, an overseas industry insider named billbil-kun, via Deallabs magazine, has shared information regarding the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree‘s potential release date and pricing. This latest speculation suggests a June 21 release that could coincide with two new physical editions of the game. Pricing for the new editions is said to be based on current pricing for its base game and collector’s editions. While it’s possible the DLC could be released ahead of these purported updated editions it’s also plausible that Bandai Namco could wait to launch it until they become available as well.

Per Deallabs:

  • Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree (DLC included) – Goty edition ( Game of the Year ): 79.99 euros (physical copy available on PS5 and Xbox Series X )
  • Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree (DLC included) – Collector’s Edition259.99 euros (physical copy available on PC , PS5 and Xbox Series X )

FromSoftware has previously teased the release of the upcoming DLC with the above image and tagline on its social media page.

Per FromSoftware:

“Rise, Tarnished, and let us walk a new path together. An upcoming expansion for Elden Ring, Shadow of the Erdtree, is currently in development. We hope you look forward to new adventures in the Lands Between.”

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
