Conclusions
In our review today we evaluated the GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 XT Gaming OC. We compared this video card to two other custom factory overclocked cards, the GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 Gaming OC and the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4060 OC Low Profile. We tested at 1080p and 1440p. We looked at ray tracing in 1080p. We overclocked the GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 XT OC. The comparison video cards were chosen based on price and gaming tier.
Performance
In plain rasterized performance at 1080p, the GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 XT Gaming OC was playable in all games in the suite. When upscaled, every game was quite fast, in fact, 6 of 6 games were at 90FPS or better. Our comparison cards were playable in 5 of 6 games without upscaling. The top performer in this category was the GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 XT Gaming OC but the margin of victory was paper thin and more game dependant than not. There were two games that were grossly imbalanced, Forspoken and Chernobylite Enhanced Edition, in which the GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 Gaming OC performed way off the mark.
In 1440p raster performance, the GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 XT Gaming OC was playable in 3 games without upscaling. With upscaling it cleared the bar in all 6 games and quite well to boot. In Forspoken, only the GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 XT Gaming OC was playable and then only upscaled. With the exception of the outliers, the margin of separation in games at 1440p was again only a few FPS. The GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 XT Gaming OC appears to be the better by only the slimmest of margins.
Ray Tracing is quite a different story. The performance takes a beating and the GeForce RTX 4060 outperforms the Radeon cards by a good margin. All three cards were playable in only two games and then only with upscaling. The GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 XT Gaming OC was playable in three games with upscaling, while the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4060 OC Low Profile was playable in 5 of 6 games and the fastest. Whether playable or not, the GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 XT Gaming OC was faster than the GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 Gaming OC in each and every game with ray tracing enabled.
Overclocking
We had no issues overclocking the GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 XT Gaming OC. We were not able to get the GIGABYTE Control Center to recognize our video card, however, using the most up-to-date version. We had no issues with MSI Afterburner or the Adrenalin performance software. We were able to reach an average of 2935MHz. We were able to increase the memory to 20GB/s as well. This success was not without a trade-off, however. The cooling fans ramped up quickly to 100% and stayed there. This resulted in quite a bit of high-pitched noise. The temperatures on the GPU were also high, but the video card performed flawlessly, remained rock stable and within thermal limits.
The overclocked GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 XT Gaming OC was the fastest video card in 5 of 6 rasterized games at 1080 and 1440p. The advantage gained was between 5 and 8% time and again. The card was loud and hot but is perfectly stable, so there is a definite advantage to overclocking this card. The advantages of overclocking were not carried over into ray tracing.
Final Points
In this review, we evaluated the GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 XT Gaming OC. We were able to compare performance with a GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 Gaming OC and a GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4060 OC Low Profile. All in all, despite being robustly overclocked and having more VRAM, the performances in rasterized gameplay are very similar, separated by only a few FPS. The card also struggles in ray tracing until upscaled. 
That being said, upscaling allows the GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 XT Gaming OC to be playable in most games. The video card is well-built but is quite noisy when the cooling fans ramp up. Overclocking the card is quite easy and does benefit performance but the cooling fans do ramp up the noise level. The end result is a decision about the value of the card given its performance relative to the Radeon RX 7600.
