Gameplay Performance at 1440p
In this section, we are running the same benchmarks at the same exact settings except the resolution is now set at 2560×1440 or 1440p. All of these cards are aimed at 1440p as well as 1080p so let’s see how they do. Due to the demands of ray tracing we only test here in plain raster, with and without upscaling.
Alan Wake 2
The game is too demanding without upscaling but is smooth and playable when enabled. The GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 XT Gaming OC has a 7 and 11% advantage in upscaled performance. Overclocking adds 7% as well.
Returnal
This result is a dead heat. There is almost enough to call it playable without upscaling, which benefits the cards nicely when enabled. Overclocking gains 6% overall.
Forspoken
None of the cards has the stuff without upscaling here. The GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 XT Gaming OC has a big edge but it doesn’t help. With upscaling the gap over the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4060 OC Low Profile is 20%, and double that for the GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 Gaming OC. Overclocking gains 8%.
Chernobylite Enhanced Edition
This game is very playable and very fast either way. This certainly favors the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4060 OC Low Profile and the Radeon RX cards are nearly even. The upscaled performance is really fast. Overclocking gains 10% here.
Dying Light 2
Again, things are almost too close to call. The performance is fast and smooth with just a 3% difference, closer with upscaling. Overclocking only manages 2%.
Cyberpunk 2077
Only upscaling is playable. A 2% difference is seen between the two Radeon RX cards. Overclocking gains a nice 8% here, but is still anemic without upscaling. The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4060 OC Low Profile pulls up the rear by 18%!!!
