Sony Pictures Entertainment has shared the official trailer for Bad Boys: Ride or Die, revealing the first footage and official title for the fourth installment in the buddy-cop action comedy film franchise starring Martin Lawrence and Will Smith. Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah have returned to direct this one, which centers around Lowrey and Burnett going on an adventure to clear Captain Howard’s (Joe Pantoliano) name after he’s framed as a drug smuggler.

The original ‘Bad Boys’ were Dana Carvey and Jon Lovitz. They had the screenplay before Martin got it. So Dana Carvey and Jon Lovitz, that’s who y’all would have been seeing; they were the original Bad Boys and then Martin took over the screenplay. So the version of the screenplay that he was pitching to me was written for Dana Carvey and Jon Lovitz.
